Kitesurfing Coaching Weekend with Liquid Force International Pro Rider James Boulding

International Pro Rider James Boulding             will be gracing us with his presence at Camber Sands on the weekend of 5th and 6th June 2010 to run 2 coaching sessions. Saturday will be aimed at intermediates and improvers and Sunday will be more advanced.

If you find you have hit a plateau or just need a push in the right direction, these could be the courses for you.

Each day course is 4 hours long with a break and video analysis in the middle. There is a maximum of four spaces per course ensuring of plenty of individual attention.

 

Saturday Intermediate Coaching Day

The coaching day is entirely based around improving your techniques, riding ability and kitesurfing knowledge.

One of the most important aspects of advanced riding is having your kit tuned for your own ability and preference. The initial part of the coaching will be making sure you know how to tune and understand your gear.

The course will incorporate recorded riding and video analysis followed by improver sessions.

Minimum level required – Able to ride upwind, Attempts at back rolls and front rolls.

Syllabus covered in the course – Board and edge control in different conditions, powered POP, back rolls, front rolls, controlled jumps, grabs, kite loops, hooked in raileys, transition to unhooked.

Sunday Advanced Coaching Day

Minimum level required – Hooked in rotations, ride upwind, perform transitions, plenty of enthusiasm! James Boulding coaching

Syllabus covered in the course – Hooked in and unhooked raileys, rotations, S Bends, hooked & unhooked grabs, kite loops, surface passes, landings to blind and wrapped and powered passes.

The full range of 2010 Liquid Force equipment will be available to demo on both days.

James’ biography –

“I started kitesurfing at 8 years ago during my last year at school, and pursued it throughout University. After which I followed the summer seasons globally to kitesurf full-time.

In 2009 I moved to Liquid Force Team and travelled through South Africa, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey before heading out to Australia for the winter.  I competed on the British Tour, winning several events before eventually finishing second. In 2010 I will be competing on the PKRA world tour  – bring it on!”

James is a BKSA senior instructor as well as one of only a handful of National trainers. He is well known in the industry as one of the very top coaches and often works alongside Andy Gratwick (head of BKSA training) for UK and overseas beginner, improver and advanced courses.

James is also heavily into film production and recently started Kitesurf film company ‘Steez Productions’.
