The Kitesurf Centre Shop would like you to enjoy your purchases as soon as possible so we strive to dispatch your order within 1-2 working days of it being placed (subject to payment authorisation and stock availability). If there is going to be a delay for any reason, we’ll let you know. Please ensure that your email address and phone number on the order are ones you can be contacted on.
- UK: FREE standard delivery of 1-5 working days (usually 1-2 days) on all UK purchases over £79.99 – Upgrade to Express Delivery for £4.99. UK Orders under £79.99: £4.99 Standard, £6.99 Express
- Europe Mainland and UK Highlands & Islands: £14.99 on all items under 2 kg and £19.99 over 2kg
- Rest of the World and European Islands: £19.99 for small items under 1kg, £49.99 over 1kg and £79.99 for all items over 6kg. Fedex available as an upgrade option for all countries and the only option for Asia, Africa and South America. £34.99 for small items under 2kg, £49.99 over 2kg and £79.99 for all items over 6kg
Any items or combined items with in an order which weight over 2kg in total, fall into the ‘large item category’ which changes the cost of shipping for international orders.
On some large items such as kite packages, boards of all kinds and stand up paddleboards, the price of shipping sometimes differs to certain countries (and areas of the UK as well occasionally). In these cases, the customer will not be charged automatically at checkout for any extra costs incurred, but will occasionally be contacted if there are any costs that The Kitesurf Centre cannot reasonably cover. The customer will be given the choice to continue with the order or cancel if necessary.
Surfboards have an additional £29.99 – £59.99 shipping cost depending upon size and Hard SUPs £69.99. Due to a huge percentage arriving damaged we now only use reliable (more expensive) couriers. Price will show at checkout.
VAT Free Purchases
If you live outside the UK you are eligible for VAT free (20%) purchases. This is automatically deducted at basket and checkout when you click ‘Calculate shipping’ and change your delivery country, but please contact us if you would like further information. The order may be subject to certain import duties within your own country.
This also applies to BFPO & forwarding addresses associated with the military. Please contact us so we can zero rate the VAT on the order.
Delivery Times are based on standard working days (i.e. Monday to Friday, no Saturday deliveries, excluding public holidays, etc.) Orders for next day delivery must be made by 11am, but please call us as if it is after this time we should be able to offer next day orders through up to 2pm. Next working day delivery can only apply to Mainland UK.
Please note next day delivery is never a guaranteed service even with ‘Express Delivery’ as delays with courier services which are out of our control may occur. It’s always advisable to order as much is advance as possible to avoid any problems. The Kitesurf Centre will not be held responsible for any delayed or missed deliveries.
If shipping to a work address or requesting to leave the order with a neighbour it is the responsibility of the customer to locate the package once delivered.
If a delivery is missed or not collected from the local depot by the customer and automatically returned to The Kitesurf Centre, a redelivery charge will apply to send the order for a 2nd time, even if the order qualified for free shipping on the first delivery attempt.
Please check the details when receiving any consignment from the delivery driver; before signing check if the package is damaged, if so please refuse to sign for the item or sign for as ‘damaged’ and make the driver aware of any issue. Once the package has been signed for and accepted the courier or ourselves cannot be held responsible for any damage and the item will not be replaced. Please also check you have received the correct amount of packages before signing as sometimes orders are split into multiple bags or boxes.
Returns & Exchanges
Please fill out this form and include it in the package when returning items to us.
If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition (with packaging and tags intact) within 14 days of the purchase date. We can either issue an in store credit for the item, send a different size or product if you would like an exchange or refund your payment. Just let us know what size you would like. Shipping and any costs incurred to The Kitesurf Centre will not be refunded and will be charged again for the replacement item on all European, Worldwide and large item orders and at The Kitesurf Centre’s discretion on small items. Standard UK shipping charge is £4.99
In conjunction with the Consumer Right Act 2015, if the goods within your order are not of satisfactory quality, aren’t fit for purpose or aren’t as described, then you have 30 days to reject the goods and return for a full refund.
If your order is returned in part and the returned items bring your overall order total under £79, shipping will be charged as usual as if the order was under £79. If the full order is returned a shipping / restocking fee is charged.
Any item returned is at your own risk and cost. Please note that we will not be liable for any loss or damage to any returned items in transit and products remain your responsibility and property until we receive them. If returned items are lost or damaged in transit, we will have to charge you (or not to refund any amounts attributable to) such loss or damage. Please send any item(s) you intend to return in the original packaging.
Used / Ex-Demo Products
All used / ex demo products are checked over before being dispatched. The leading edge and struts on kites are inflated and tested for 4 hours. However, if you find any damage to the products you must notify The Kitesurf Centre before use. As soon as the products have been used The Kitesurf Centre cannot take any responsibility for any damage.
