A Full Custom D/LAB fin slalom race board for advanced and expert racers, from club events to IFCA and the PWA.

The Falcon_Fin D/LAB is Duotone’s top-tier fin slalom race board for advanced and expert windsurfers racing at club, IFCA and PWA level. It pairs race-winning shapes with Full Custom D/LAB construction, so your attention stays on speed and your line rather than on your kit.

Full Custom D/LAB starts at the core. Each EPS block is CNC-milled to its final shape instead of being formed in a mould, which removes mould tolerances and saves weight from the start. With Single Process Technology the top and bottom PVC skins are vacuum-bagged to the core in separate steps, and the PVC is thicker or thinner according to the load in each area rather than a uniform 3 mm. The layup uses more than 60 individual parts, nearly 20% more than Duotone’s SLS construction. Duotone puts the result at up to 500 g lighter than the SLS version and up to 1 kg lighter than a standard production board.

The materials are chosen to earn their weight: high-strength and high-modulus carbon (the high-modulus grade is also used in aircraft and Formula One), Innegra for tensile strength and ding resistance, Duotone’s S-glass for around 10–20% more stiffness than standard glass, and Duotone SENTEX resin with silicon nano-spheres to save weight.

For 2027 the fin box sits slightly further forward, which sharpens acceleration and upwind trim while keeping the board’s proven balance.

The 2027 Falcon_Fin D/LAB comes in eight sizes, named by volume in litres: 089, 098, 111, 118, 119, 124, 130 and 139, all in white. The 130 is new. It is derived from the 139, the shape behind the board’s light-wind, big-sail results, in a more manageable volume. The sizes from 119 to 139 give you the range to plane early and drive big sails in light-wind heats. Select a size above.

This board is supplied without a fin. Duotone recommends its Race D/LAB fin. Choose a fin to suit the board size, your sails and your weight; The Kitesurf Centre can help you pick one.

All sizes come in white with Full Custom D/LAB construction and four Premium Strap 2.0 footstraps, and are supplied without a fin. Duotone also lists a maximum light-wind speed sail of 7.4 m² for the 089 and 7.8 m² for the 098. Duotone has not yet published dimensions for the 119; we will add them as soon as they are released. Contact The Kitesurf Centre before ordering if you need them now.

Choosing your setup

Choose your size around your weight, the sail sizes you race, your local conditions and the race formats you enter. The dimensions table lists Duotone’s maximum slalom sail for each board, from 6.2 m² on the 089 to 10.0 m² on the 139, and the sizes from 119 to 139 are aimed at early planing and big sails in light wind. The Falcon_Fin D/LAB is supplied without a fin, so budget for a race fin matched to the board and your sails; the fin box for each size is in the table. Contact The Kitesurf Centre with your weight, sails and spots for sizing and fin advice. Made-to-order purchases have a 12–18 week lead time from order and are delivered directly by Duotone.
