Cranmer, situated a stone’s throw from Camber sands beach, is an impressive green eco-friendly house, almost entirely self-sufficient in heating and energy. The house uses solar power to generate electricity and boasts underfloor heating.

It was built in 2018 by Thomas, Rupert & Tristan, along with some help from the kitesurf instructors during low wind periods or winter time!

The modern home is an ideal stay for families or a group of friends wanting to get on the water.

Cranmer is ideally situated just moments from the vast beach and dunes of Camber Sands, whilst also being located down a secluded private lane.

Built by three local brothers with a passion for the ocean and the environment, Cranmer uses all the latest available technology to ensure it is as environmentally friendly as possible. It is almost entirely self-sufficient in heating and energy; using solar panels integrated into the roof tiles to generate electricity.

The interior of the house was designed with social and family gatherings in mind. Upon entering the building you walk through the corridor and are drawn to an immense open space with a vaulted roof and floor to ceiling windows. This creates a bright and airy room ideal for spending time with friends and family. Suitable for all seasons, the bi-folding doors can be opened to extend the living space to include the outdoor decking in the warmer months. When the weather is cooler the central log burner adds extra warmth and atmosphere, and the under-floor heating ensures the house is always cosy.

The beautifully designed kitchen is an integral part of the living space. It comes fully equipped with a central island that houses the induction hob, extractor fan and wine coolers. This island provides additional seating to the more formal dining table, perfect for pre-dinner snacks and drinks.

There are 3 bedrooms; 2 en-suite doubles and a twin bedroom served by the family bathroom. All have ample wardrobe space. A maximum of two well behaved dogs are permitted, but they are not to be left unattended in the property or allowed in the bedrooms.

The south- facing garden is sheltered to enjoy the sunshine. A BBQ and hot tub on the veranda ensure guests are fully equipped for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Bikes are available at Cranmer and paddle boards are available to rent nearby at a discounted rate from The Kitesurf Centre. For those visiting with children, all your needs have been provided for to make packing for a holiday that little bit easier. A high chair, toys, travel cot, children’s crockery, stair-gate and off road buggy that can tackle the sandy beach opposite are all included.

There is sufficient parking for 3 cars at the front of the property.
