Here at The Kitesurf Centre, we’ve always understood the value of good second-hand kitesurfing equipment. It can make a great choice for beginner riders starting out who don’t want to commit to the price of buying a new setup, and it offers cheaper alternatives for those on a budget, especially when it comes to the big bits like kites and boards. It can even throw up some pretty interesting retro finds for those looking for something more specific.

We particularly advise buying used kitesurf equipment if you are a beginner. Why? The learning process tends to involve some big kite slams on the beach and in the water – and if you’re really unlucky, on a barnacle encrusted groyne or wreck that only ends up with a torn canopy. The kites take a hammering, so best to take it out on an old inexpensive kite rather then a new and precious one.

When buying used kit, there are some rules to follow. For example, what is the condition of the canopy material; is the kite older than 2007, and are the lines and bridle system in good condition? Luckily, we’ve checked all that for you. At The Kitesurf Centre we have a lot of experience with dealing with second-hand equipment. We ensure that all that we sell is in excellent working order, and is guaranteed to provide and perform for years to come. Our team thoroughly check every second-hand item as it comes in and goes out to ensure that it meets good safety standards, so you know that whatever you buy from us, it will exceed your expectations.

We have a good range of used kiteboarding gear, including used and ex-demo kitesurf kites, kiteboards, bars, harnesses, wetsuits, pumps, helmets, trainer kites, SUP boards, paddles & leashes. If you’ve got something specific in mind that you can’t find on our website, then give us a call.
