Our instructors are all BKSA qualified with a vast amount of experience, very friendly, patient, fun and understanding. Having great instructors really makes a difference to your kite lessons, as kitesurfing can be a difficult sport to teach.

5 seasons instructional experience
Tristan learnt to kitesurf many years ago and continued his passion whilst attending University in Portsmouth where he obtained a Marine Engineering degree, but more importantly his instructors certificate! On completion he went straight into the industry and taught for schools in southern England and abroad. He gained his senior instructor certificate and subsequently managed several centres. Before establishing The Kitesurf Centre with Thomas, he taught potential kitesurfing intructors the BKSA syllabus in Egypt.

5 seasons instructional experience
Thomas initially learnt to landboard whilst studying a Masters degree in Chemistry at Warwick University. After graduation he moved to kitesurfing and taught at schools in the UK. He has a wealth of experience of the beaches around the Camber Sands and Greatstone area due to previously working as a beach lifeguard during summer vacations. Thomas is also a keen snowboarder and for the past 4 years has spent his winters in the French Alps improving both his snowboarding and cooking skills.

7 seasons instructional experience
James is the most experienced of our instructors with knowledge of teaching kite sports all over the world and one of just a handful of National Trainers. He competes on the British Pro Tour placing a close 2nd in 2009. He’s recently been accepted onto the Liquid Force International Team, which has never achieved by a UK rider!
Paul Hallam
BKSA Instructor and enthusiastic kitesurfer
Paul only joined The Kitesurf Centre in the early summer of 2009 but had a great first season. He is currently at University which allows him the whole summer to help with teaching and enjoy the beach
Dave Osler
Kite Landboard Instructor
Dave is both a keen kitesurfer and landboarder. He has been in the sport from the very beginning and has loads of experience and skill both on and off the water. Although he has been involved a long time, his enthusiasm hasn’t dropped one bit and he is always trying to land the next new move.
