Through extensive research into alignment and the natural movement of the rider’s ankles, knees, and upper body during riding as well as high impact landings…The Dual Moulded Direct Impact foot bed was developed. The two part dual density moulded design features an ultra-comfortable lower density upper layer with extra cushioning on the lateral (outer) side of your foot, with a denser, more supportive impact resistant layer on the medial (inner) side of the foot, guiding your knees outwards during high impact landings. The two-part dual density moulding design creates an ultra-comfortable upper layer which is active during regular riding. With a denser more supportive impact resistant layer specifically designed to support and cushion your feet during high impact landings.

This unique design increases the ergonomic support to the inside of your foot. Which in turn guides your knees outwards during riding.

RUBBER TONGUES

The unique rubber moulded adjustable tongue creates a soft flexible framework to support the footstrap. Enabling the rider to personalise the position of the strap on the base plate. By moving the moulded tongue insert forwards or backwards.

The dual primary slots create variable sizing options for riders with very big feet or those riding in booties.

DIRECTIONAL GROOVING

The overall rocker line is moderate to ensure the board offers early planing and keeps the fantastic glide, which is the true signature of the TRAX. The rocker line is split into three distinct stages with a flatter section in the centre, which is crucial to achieving an excellent upwind angle and great tracking on the water. The transition between the middle section and the tips was inspired by the WTF?! rocker to offer incredible pop.

The bottom shape features a deep double concave and some tip channels. Both are quite efficient at providing first-class grip and control to the board, but the double concave is the main driver behind the overall comfort of the board and its stability at all times.

The rails are inspired by our HRD technology, with taller sections around the feet for better lift and balance, they were kept thin everywhere else to offer plenty of grip.

The deck shape is stripped down for more simplicity and better contact between the bindings and the board. The 3D work in the middle section, another heritage of the TRAX, helps the centre of the board track in a straight line with a solid feel for more accuracy and control when riding.

On the water, the board impresses by how smooth it is to ride. Everything feels natural and totally intuitive. A perfect blend of glide, solid pop and smooth landings characterise this well-balanced shape.

The F-One TRAX ESL is available in two sizes, which should fit a wide range of users. The proportions of the shape are inspired by the latest freestyle developments while the dimensions are kept more manageable.

FMS Rating

Airush introduced the FMS rating 6 years ago as the first brand to quantify how much a twintip flexes. Instead of the good old “feel” test, which can be very deceptive due to the impact of the length on the overall stiffness, FMS takes into account the board’s length and deflection. A lower rating indicates a softer board more suited to freeride, while a higher rated stiffer board is more suited to freestyle. The Airush Switch Progression has an FMS rating of 5.
