The Airush Razor 2016 keeps the dedicated C-Kite feel and performance that wakestyle and freestyle riders demand. Working closely with World Champion Alex Pastor we relentlessly focused on fine-tuning the performance characteristics, specifically: mind blowing pop, unhooked ability and kite looping. The Razor has great range, along with comfort for everyday freestyle riders.
The next generation Dyneema Load Frame takes the biggest innovation in kite construction to a whole new level and is combined with the Technoforce D2 by Teijin, for the ultimate combination of durability and lightweight performance.
For 2016 the 5th line is set with slightly more tension for added structural rigidity and responsiveness. A new 6m replaces the 5.5m creating a more stable platform with better gust response, and makes the 6m as easy to handle in high wind as the 5.5m. An improvement in parked power for better bottom end results in a much more versatile kite, with a broader wind range.

Performance
Tips and Tuning
According to designer Mark Pattison, the changes mostly come from the reduced sweep, due to this this we were able to control the angle of attack difference between LE and TE even more than in previous years. This control helps the kite to shoot that extra bit further forward in the window for an unhooked handle pass, allowing the rider to maintain control and land with ease an plenty of slack in the lines after the initial pop. It also helps bring the kite around even quicker in a powerful kite loop to get the kite straight over your head and catch you quickly, but still providing a radical hardcore C-Kite style kite loop.

Next Gen Dyneema Load Frame
The Airush load frame comprises a unique web of dyneema that supports the primary loading off the canopy. These sections of low stretch, ultra-light dyneema yarn are designed to be subjected to individual loads well beyond that of the canopy cloth.
Fifth Line
Featured on the Airush Razor Team, the 5th line allows for a simple, safe and effective support system. Ideal for a thinner leading edge and a C-shape arc.
C-Kite Design
The pure C-kite shape offers stability and predictability without compromise. The result is forward flying for upwind ability, immense pop and slack for freestyle/wakestyle maneuvers and the most direct feel from the bar. Airush has taken these characteristics of the C-kite and added a significantly wider wind range, customizable tuning and greater stability.
