The Prodigy by Cabrinha is designed with usability and all round efficiency in mind. The famous manufacturer managed to create a board which is suitable for any rider, regardless of skill, who loves freeride, wakestyle, freestyle and not only. The board is powerful, but user friendly so it is a real pleasure to take it for a spin in any wave and wind conditions. It features a wider shape and a smooth outline, which assure a fast, smooth and drag free glide.
The wider shape makes the board easy to power up and assures a fast ride when it is just a light breeze blowing and the other riders sit on the beach and wait for the wind to pick up. And if the wind does pick up, there is no problem. The board gets more dynamic and runs faster, but it is totally reliable and stable. The board is forgiving but packs plenty of power for the riders who love hardcore tricks and speedy races. At the same time, the board has excellent early planning and upwind abilities. The improved flex profile allows the rider to tackle any wave with minimum shock impact and provides soft landings. The wood core provides a very smooth ride and increases the steering response. The rider can perform any trick with absolutely no effort at all.
The board is highly accurate and reliable in any conditions. Cabrinha has used a moderate rocker on the Prodigy to make sure it has excellent acceleration potential and a nice top speed. At the same time the improved rails and bottom design assure optimal power release and provide plenty of stability and grip. The Cabrinha Prodigy is engineered using a new and very efficient technology.
The core is based on a vertically laminated Paulownia wood structure, complemented by biaxial fiberglass layups. An additional topsheet assures that the board will not sustain damage from UV or abrasion, while the rails are made from high quality ABS. The whole construction is very light, but extremely durable.
