Although an older model, the RPM has changed little since 2012 and this kite is ideal for all round kitesurfing. Always popular, lively and fun to use as well as being stable and usable for beginners.
The RPM has a long heritage, and it is also the only bridled kite to win a world championship. Its what Slingshot call an Open C platform and the kite has an exceedingly flat arc shape to it. This year the kite has been tweaked to improve its handling, wind range and the aerodynamics.
The open C platform of the RPM allows for fast riding, explosive pop with the correct amount of boost, travel and drift appealing to top pros and high-performance riders worldwide as well as intermediates. The 2012 model is quicker, more responsive and more crisp in its handling. The new Diamond Leech improves air flow for a clean release off the trailing edge and improves aerodynamics as well as the overall stability of the canopy which also helps reduce flutter and the effects of wear and tear. The RPMs full suspension bridle has been updated with a new anodized aluminium frictionless pulley, reducing weight and eliminating wear associated with mechanical pulleys.
It features 3 SplitStruts which are integrated into the canopy of the kite to improve handling. The bridle is characteristically small and there are direct connection points to the rear of the kite. There are several tuning options on the kite to increase and decrease bar pressure and also adjust the handling to suit your style of riding.
